On Monday, October 1, our long-term client Palm Springs Aerial Tramway went live with our advanced ticketing system.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is the largest rotating tramway in the world. Tram cars transport visitors while rotating constantly, making two complete rotations per journey as visitors are treated to stunning views from the comfort of their seat. The picturesque journey begins in the Coachella Valley, and the twelve-and-a-half-minute ride takes visitors through five life zones, beginning in the desert, up North America’s steepest mountain face, and ending up in an alpine forest. Passengers disembark at Mount Jacinto State Park, where the weather can be as much as 40 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the valley, and snow is frequently on the ground during winter months. Guests can enjoy dining, shopping, back country hiking trails, or simply take in the view – which on a clear day can be all the way to Mount Charleston, north of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Palm Springs Aerial Tramway has been a Vivaticket client for over a decade, and this upgrade went particularly smoothly. The park is now especially excited to be using tablets at the parking entrance!
